With salaries and training paid for, plus a £1,000 bonus for employers Young people on the Isle of Wight are being given an opportunity to learn a new career and start a brand new job. Island employers are being urged to take on 19 to 24-year-olds as part of a government campaign to help young people to upskill and retrain. Real job creation for young Islanders

Isle of Wight Radio 2:00pm - 6:00pm Live and Local Podcast - Supporting Live Local Music On The Isle Of Wight New Isle Of Wight Traineeship Scheme For Next Generation Of Islanders By Oliver Dyer HTP Apprenticeship College is leading a new Government-funded traineeship programme on the Isle of Wight to get young people into work. The scheme is part of a £111 million Government investment and aims to triple the scale of traineeships in the forthcoming year. Isle of Wight businesses that agree to take on a person aged between 19 and 24 will receive a £1,000 payment (per person). HTP will work with the employer to devise a bespoke learning programme for each trainee.
