The Pittsburgh Steelers hired former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith as offensive coordinator on Friday, hoping he can help a unit that's underachieved in recent years. The 41-year-old Smith was fired last month following a third straight 7-10 season in Atlanta. Smith replaces Matt Canada, who was dismissed just before Thanksgiving with the Steelers offense languishing near the bottom of the league in points and yards.
Carolina’s new head coach Dave Canales — as well as general manager Dan Morgan — held an introductory news conference Thursday morning at Bank of America Stadium.
Former Western Michigan coach Tim Lester was hired Wednesday to turn around Iowa's underperforming offense. Lester replaces coach Kirk Ferentz's son, Brian Ferentz, who finished this past season on the staff after athletic director Beth Goetz told him in late October that he wouldn't return in 2024.
