Quarr Hill Closed In Both Directions After Motorcycle Crash

A road closure is currently in place between Quarr Hill and Fishbourne Lane.
The incident happened at around 9.30am on Elenors Grove.
Traffic is slow in the area and on the main road between Binstead and Wootton.
Paramedics are also in the area.
Bus routes are being diverted. UPDATED 10.26am
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary told Isle of Wight Radio: Our officers were called out at 9.31am this morning to reports of a single-vehicle collision on Elenors Grove. A motorcyclist has left the road and a 30-year-old man from Newport has suffered suspected serious injuries.
EMERGENCY service teams have been called to a crash in Ryde this afternoon (Wednesday) after a motorcycle clipped a kerb. Police, paramedics and one fire crew from Ryde have all been called to the scene near Quarr Hill, on Elenors Grove. Motorists should avoid the area.
UPDATE: A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: One crew from Ryde was called at 3.12pm this afternoon to an RTC involving a motorcycle. The motorcycle clipped the kerb on Elenors Grove in Ryde, which led to a small engine oil spillage in the road. The male motorcyclist was conscious and breathing and treated at the scene by paramedics as firefighters worked to mop up the oil from the carriageway.
A quirky cottage in rural Dorset is set to go under the hammer later this month for nearly £300,000.
