Man sentenced in shooting that left ‘holes’ in victim’s intestines

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A West Brighton resident, who police said, shot and wounded another man near a playground and public school in his community two years ago, has been sentenced to three years behind bars.
Quamane Rogers shot the 29-year-old victim at about 10:45 p.m. on June 8, 2019, near the intersection of Broadway and Henderson Avenue, said police.
The intersection is surrounded by Corporal Thompson Park, PS 18, the West Brighton Houses apartment complex and a few small businesses.
