that s the norm for people in my set. because there is an understanding that you are expected to achieve. you are given opportunity in america and you are expected to make it. and, again, i have numbers to back it up. nigerians make up less than 1% of the black population in the u.s. and yet in 2013 alone, 25% of the black students at harvard business school were nigerian decent. here s some more numbers for you, brooke. other a fourth of the nigerians have professional degree. only 11% of whites in america can say the same. so we are model minorities. so about this myth about africa living in huts, it s not ha sally struthers commercial anymore. we are the most upperly mobile people in this country. between africans and the west indians that i know, we make an extraordinarily amount of money, work extremely hard, and our goal is not just to be great citizens bull make our parents who sacrificed everything to get us quality educations and better
neil: hear me out. and now the top 1% are paying more than 30% of the bill. you know that it s got to be more spread out. right. look, you can t get blood from a rock. these people neil: you can get something. these people struggling to make ends meet, you can t take anything from them. but we re missing something in this whole thing about income and equality. what about education? what about preparing these kids? i think there s 60 or 80,000 jobs in this city right now. $80,000 year incomes. the kids are not qualified to do the work. why? because they re not getting quality educations. neil: we throw a lot of money at education. of the 30 nations on earth, we spend more money per student than the other developed nations. neil, i don t want to pay anymore taxes. i prefer not to but i m a realist. i understand.
because we re going to hit $1 trillion. the most meaningful reason why the price has gone up, then we should go back to the model of providing free quality educations that we keep chopping away and chopping away at. the answer s you know what, it s better if we just have a small sector of the population going to college. y unless we re going to have a quota system that every third president can t be an ivy leaguer or something like that, or the justices, we re going to have two spots open for people who did not go to college. we can provide college that burdens people to come out of debt. a really expensive college all the anger is directed at
