SMALL CAP MOVERS: Eve Sleep plans French expansion

Quadrise Fuels shot up 55 per cent to 3p this week after making a deal with the world’s second largest shipping company. Mediterranean Shipping Company will trial Quadrise’s MSAR synthetic fuel formulation in its fleet of commercial container vessels and, if it goes well, it will adopt it as its fuel of choice. After perfecting its proprietary fuel for two decades, Quadrise seems to finally have reached a breakthrough. Eve Sleep admitted that possible raw material shortages will hinder near-term growth MSAR is made from the thick, almost solid residues left when lighter fractions such as gasoline and diesel have been distilled from the crude oil which are then mixed with a small amount of water and speciality chemicals.

Quadrise Fuels releases new bioMSAR HFO : Biofuels Digest

In the UK, Quadrise Fuels a new sustainable fuel product “bioMSAR®” that utilizes its proprietary MSAR technology to combine renewable glycerol with water and refinery residues to produce an oil-in-water emulsified synthetic heavy fuel oil (HFO). The primary benefits of bioMSAR® over HFO are lower emissions, including 20-30% less carbon dioxide (CO2), lower NOx and lower particulates. bioMSAR® offers similar CO2 emissions reductions as using LNG in place of HFO.  LNG however requires expensive cryogenic storage and liquefaction systems, with the potential risk of methane slip during use that materially impacts potential greenhouse gas reductions. bioMSAR® fuel utilizes existing low-cost HFO infrastructure and systems, and does not contain methane.
