QSL signs partnership deals as new season kicks off

QSL Play-off: Al Shahania to take on Al Khor on May 4

 13 Apr 2021 - 10:37 The Peninsula The Qatar Stars League yesterday announced that the play-offf match which will decide the 12th team of the QNB stars League next season, will take place at Qatar SC Stadium on May 4. The play-off pits the 11thplaced team in the QNB Stars League (Al Khor) against runners-up (Al Shahania) in the Second Division of 2020-21 season to determine a place in the top flight. The match regulations stipulate that in the event of a tie at the end of regular time, an extra time of 30 minutes divided into two halves will be used. If the game is still tied, penalty shoot-out will be enforced.

QSL: Al Gharafa eye full points against Al Wakrah

The Peninsula Doha: Al Gharafa will be targeting nothing other than full points against Al Wakrah in today’s QNB Stars League Round 21 clash as The Cheetahs continue to fight for a place in next year’s AFC Champions League.  The Week-21 match which had been originally scheduled for April 6, was brought forward in view of Al Gharafa’s play-off with Uzbekistan’s FC AGMK in Doha on April 7, for a berth in this year’s AFC Champions League group stage. The kick-off for today’s clash is set for at 5:00pm at the Al Gharafa Stadium.

The win took the Wolves to 50 points, giving them an unassailable lead of 13 points over second-placed and defending champions Al Duhail.
