Oklahoma lands prized 23 QB Malachi Nelson

Malachi Nelson, the No. 2-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2023, announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Sunday night.
The Los Alamitos (Calif.) High School junior chose the Sooners over Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Southern California.
Despite his proximity to USC Los Alamitos is about 25 miles south Nelson chose Lincoln Riley s Big 12 powerhouse. It was just a special place, Nelson said during his announcement on CBS Sports. When I finally got on campus, I felt really comfortable with the staff, the environment, just the vibe on campus and the NFL (reputation).
