Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a person named Sohail, and recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing 6-6.5 kilogram from his possession at the Jammu bus stand, said Jammu Inspector General of Police (IG), Mukesh Singh on Sunday.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday claimed to have arrested two chief commanders of two separate militant outfits including The Resistance Front (TRF) and Lashkar-e-Mustafa in the past few days across the UT.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu, the director general of police, Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh said that police carried out two major successful operations and arrested two chief commanders of TRF and Lashkar-e Mustafa.
He said that to give a local name to a militant outfit, Lashkar-e-Toiba created an outfit by the The Resistance Front while Jaish-e-Mohammad created Lashkar-e-Mustafa to carry out militant activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
