The children both survived the crash. On Friday night, Rasul s brother thanked the community for supporting them. “They lost some parents, but what I’ve learned from this whole situation they’ve gained hundreds of parents, hundreds of uncles, hundreds of aunts. I lost a brother and a sister-in-law but I gained, after this whole situation, hundreds of brothers. So many people reached out to me,” said Qaseem Afzili.
