‘FDE ignored in teacher recruitment panel’

Islamabad : The teachers have raised questions about the ongoing Federal Public Service Commission (FPCS) exercise to fill the Federal Directorate of Education s (FDE) vacancies of lecturers (female) insisting the recruitment process is violating the prevalent procedure and protocol.
They told The News that the interview panel appointed by the FPSC had four members and Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (FBISE) Chairman Qaisar Alam was one of them as a departmental representative of the FDE.
The teachers said the departmental representative was usually a senior officer from the relevant department with deeper knowledge of the demand and capacity of the positions to be filled.

Islamabad : The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced that it will hold the ninth e-khuli kutcheri on Wednesday (March 10) for the solution of issues raised by students and parents and other stakeholders.
FBISE chairman Qaisar Alam will be live on the board s YouTube channel and Facebook page from 2pm to 4pm to listen to the complaints.
The FBISE asked the interested people to inbox queries to it along with their details i.e. roll numbers, academic years and contact numbers before March 8.
“From now on, we will be conducting e-kutcheris on the second Wednesday of every month,” it said.
ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Federal Education has in principle agreed upon new examination reforms proposed by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) in order to improve standard of education in the country and provide students flexible chances to excel.
“The examination reforms are being given final touches, but let me say that we will make the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education [FBISE] a leading board to be followed by other boards of the country,” Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said while talking to Dawn on Friday.
Proposals are under consideration and will be approved after being reviewed; the proposals call for holding two full-fledged examinations in the year instead of one for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) from 2022.
