Operators and drivers who fail to comply with the consolidation policy under the government’s PUV Modernization Program (PUVMP) still have a week or two before their franchises finally get revoked by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Unconsolidated public utility vehicles (PUV) in the country are allowed to operate until April 30, 2024, as long as they are registered with the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Lawmakers urged concerned government agencies to review the Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program in light of the three-month extension given to drivers/operators to comply with the consolidation policy.
