Two people were killed and three were injured as a car collided with an onion-laden truck, which was parked beside Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar, this morning.
The deceased were identified as private car passenger Putul Begum (30), from Dhaka s Dohar upazila, and driver Jamal Khan, from Brahmanbaria district.
Sazzad Karim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Savar Highway Police Station, told The Daily Star that the accident occurred in Salehpur area around 6:00am.
The car driver and one of its passengers died on the spot while three other passengers were critically injured, the OC said.
