Legal walking is back - in person

2021-05-17T10:56:00+01:00 It’s been a long, long wait, but the legal walking season is back. This Saturday (22 May) at least 25 teams from across the profession will take a scenic walk along the River Thames, raising money for legal advice charities.   Walk the Thames, organised by the London Legal Support Trust, begins at City Hall. Walkers have a choice of routes - a half and full marathon, finishing at Putney or Hampton Court respectively. Lead participants Lord Justice Haddon-Cave (running the full marathon) will start the event from Tower Bridge and Sir Peter Gross will lead from Putney. ’We have taken every possible step to ensure the event will be safe and enjoyable for all,’ says London Legal Support Trust chief executive Nezahat Cihan. Fundraising efforts have never been more needed, she says. ’However large or small a team, every contribution is valuable as LLST continues to fight for access to justice and the availability of legal advice for all.’
