that s the data that we publish this week. we are following tens of thousands of people across the country and some of our cohorts are doing weekly screening. that s a better way to understand how well our vaccines are working and how the working against asymptomatic disease as well as mildly symptomatic disease. we are not capturing the number of people getting a break through infection. just briefly the put a button on that, are you saying when people say oh, the cdc is not tracking this you basically disagree with that. absolutely. you are tracking it in a manner that makes sense. yes. we are tracking it extraordinary. 10 million vaccinated people in new york and over 4,000 healthcare workers will be publishing about next week. we are tracking this carefully. who s being vaccinated as well
manifested in particular. really the issue i m hearing a lot about is rural issues from farmer who are interested in how these democratic candidates are going to take on the impacts of the tariff and trade war the president has started. really a lot of focus this weekend on rural issues and agriculture. elizabeth warren is just one of those senators who put out plans on that issue. she ll be touring around the state making a different point at each stop highlighting a different part of her plan. kasie. ali in iowa for us. thank you very much. congressman crowley, let me go to you here just quickly to kind of put a button on this. why do you think there was this evolution on the white supremacist question? she was much more direct about it? i think in many respect it s response to the president himself and his inability to emote emotion, quite frankly, to the american people, to the victims and families.
lied to fbi agents. what do you see when you read this? so, this is an incredible document not only in its breadth but also that the fbi released it. these are documents that oftentimes after a case is closed they will come out years later, this is the fbi if realtime releasing that. we saw a judge yesterday say we need to see this, but it really shows that the bureau pushing this information out. there are some redactions in there because he was obviously the national security adviser who had knowledge of a lot of secrets, but what this tells me is that the fbi agents sat across from him, systematically went through several questions, at times prompting him. there is one instance where he said, thanks for the reminder on this tip about his conversations. so it was just them doing their job. here we see the results of that i remember work. i can just to kind of put a button on it, i think it really runs counter to this narrative that he were out to entrap him.
coming. and i mean, this is really, really important. the only people who have the power to changing thissing are roy moore stepping aside, doesn t like he will do that, the alabama republican party. doesn t look like they re going to do that at all or the governor also doesn t look like they re going to do that. how much of this pressure from washington matters if you re an alabama republican saying back off? i would suggest less than we re saying. it matters to some extent in the sense trump got 62% in alabama and moore is polling at about 48. moore s into the doing well. that said, the idea that mitch mcconnell will push him out, mcconnell is very unpopular among republicans in alabama. i don t think he can push anybody out in any race particularly this race. just to sort of put a button on that before we go to break, this is what as alabama rnc committee man said about the notion of a sessions write-in campaign, what it would mean for
thing to do. i think he thought it was the wrong thing to do to shut down government. i think he thinks imsimilar good politics for republicans. he believes that the debt limit ought not to be put at risk. the shutdown occurred because of the deal on the debt limit. that s the same thing that happened in august of 2011. we ll see whether or not he can get his caucus to vote to get the debt limit done as i think many of thiz caucus believe ought to be done, put behind them, not precipitate another shutdown of government. look, we negotiated a debt ceiling deal in 2011. i voted for that. while we raised the debt, we reduced the debt long term. i thought that was the appropriate thing do. i think trying to find some way to link some of these things together is the appropriate thing to do. but many the end nobody s defaulted on the debt in the history of the united states. nobody did in october. i don t think we will next month either. and just to sort of put a button on what you re sa
