It’s not spring in the Bighorn Basin until massive boulders fall into the Wind River Canyon outside Thermopolis, but the largest rock stayed off the highway.
WYDOT reports another cascade of rocks has fallen into the Wind River Canyon. This is a common occurrence in the canyon, especially during the spring.
As the winter snow melts in the Wind River Mountains, the ground becomes wet and slick. This often sends rocks of varying sizes into the canyon below.
At 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, several small rocks and a boulder the size of a pickup truck fell into the canyon. There were no injuries or accidents associated with the fall.
(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) VIENNA, 16th February, 2021 (WAM) The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) has signed a US$20 million public sector loan agreement with Kenya to increase regional connectivity, enhance trade and improve the socio-economic welfare of about 1.6 million people.
The loan will finance the upgrading of the 90 km Samatar - Wajir Road, a part of the North and North-Eastern Development Initiative Programme. The programme will better connect Kenya s northern region to the rest of the country, improving an important 739 km corridor linking Isiolo in the north with Mandera in the northeast (at the border with Ethiopia).

SBP reserves decreased by US$ 83 million to US$ 13,216.2 million, due to external debt repayments.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 20,313.1 million as on December 18, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Thursday reported.
According the break-up figures, the foreign reserves held by the SBP stood at US$ 13,216.2 million whereas the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks stood at US$ 7,096.9 million.
