Coaching veteran of 24 years joins Tiger staff
CLEMSON, S.C. Kareem Richardson, a 24-year collegiate coaching veteran, joined the Tigers’ coaching staff, announced by Head Coach Brad Brownell and approved today by the Board of Trustees Compensation Committee.
“I’ve known Kareem for a long time and have always been impressed by his work ethic, knowledge of the game and competitive spirit,” said Brownell. “Kareem brings a wealth of experience to the position having worked for many outstanding coaches over the years as well as serving as the head coach at UMKC. Our players will enjoy working with him and I think his experience in different regions of the country will serve us well in recruiting.”

CARBONDALE, IL. (WFIE) - Izzy Vetter and Sarah Harness battled it out in a pitcher’s duel before Southern Illinois hit a walk-off home run to defeat the University of Evansville softball team by a 3-1 final on Saturday afternoon at Charlotte West Stadium.
Both pitchers allowed just one run through the first six frames, but it was SIU (27-6, 9-3 MVC) who would win in the 7th when Jenny Jansen hit a 2-run home run to clinch the 3-1 win. Vetter struck out five hitters for UE (17-12, 5-5 MVC) while Harness fanned 11 batters.
