Swaffham teamwork to help keep homeless people warm in King s Lynn Published: 15:30, 01 January 2021 Homeless people have been supplied with warm clothing for the cold winter months thanks to the initiative of a community group and business. Swaffham lions were contacted by Artichoke, a shop in the town, requesting to find a home for scarves and hats they wished to donate. Tony Lakey, Swaffham Lions welfare chairman, took the donations to the Purfleet Trust homeless charity in Lynn. Published: 6:23 PM December 29, 2020    Updated: 7:29 PM December 29, 2020 Chef Galton Blackison delivers soup to the Purfleet Trust, based in King s Lynn. - Credit: Supplied by Galton Blackison Celebrity chef and Norfolk restaurant owner Galton Blackiston is donating enough soup to feed scores of people after being left with a glut of ingredients.  Blue cheese and cauliflower, artichoke and goat s cheese and leek and potato are among the varieties of soup cooked up by Mr Blackiston, who owns Morston Hall hotel and restaurant as well as No. 1 fish and chips in Cromer. Mr Blackiston said he had ordered in a lot of food to Morston Hall for the busy holiday period, shortly before the Tier 4 restrictions were announced.

The lighting and events firm took up the the challenge of lighting up the famous two-tone cliffs of Old Hunstanton. Eric s Fish and Chips sponsored this project to enable Jak Ropa to cover our costs on planning, insurance and resources. As part of the thank you in return its logo was part of the display.
