Bacolod City gives cash aid to Odette -affected residents

The two-day distribution at the Gonzaga gym in Barangay Taculing was facilitated by the city's Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD). Mayor Evelio Leonardia said they have allocated more than PHP6.9 million for financial assistance to the typhoon victims. Almost half of Bacolod villages log zero Covid-19 case in 2 weeks

BACOLOD CITY - Some 47.5 percent or 29 out of the 61 villages in this city have recorded zero coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the past two weeks, based on the latest data released by the Emergency Operations Center Task Force (EOC-TF) on Monday afternoon. "With continued public cooperation, we hope to sustain this positive trend," EOC-TF executive director Em Legaspi-Ang said in a statement. Those currently without Covid-19 cases are Barangays Alangilan, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, 40 and 41. Villages with one recorded case each include Punta Taytay, Montevista, 4, 5, 11, 18, 19, 31, 36, and 39 while Barangays 7, 14, and 17 have only two cases in the past 14 days. During the October 28 to November 10 period, only 23 barangays were without a single case of Covid-19.
