With the Buddha Nullah rejuvenation project set to miss another deadline, the Vidhan Sabha Committee formed to look into the issues related to Buddha Nullah and Ghaggar river, has directed the authorities concerned to expedite the work and ensure its completion by March 31 next year.
The committee led by Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal Thursday conducted a meeting at the Circuit House in Ludhiana to review the progress of the rejuvenation project of the polluted stream Buddha Nullah.

Chandigarh, June 2: Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa on Wednesday said the government would forge strategic partnership with Israel for developing a better water management system.
The minister said that the Punjab government would work on making effective use of Israeli technology and indigenous innovations to develop a cost effective and sustainable water supply and sewerage infrastructure in the state.Speaking at a round table discussion here with Dr. Lior Asaf, Water Attache, Embassy of Israel and other officials, Jimpa said he appreciated the role played by Israel in supporting India in addressing challenges related to wastewater.
