Mehul Choksi and his nephew Nirav Modi are accused in the Rs 13,500 crore Punjab National Bank fraud case. Choksi left the country in 2019 and was granted the citizenship of Antigua and Barbuda.
The court pronounced the order today in five petitions filed by Choksi drawing attention to several alleged procedural lapses to substantiate why he ought not be declared an FEO.
The Bombay High Court on Thursday rejected an application filed by businessman Mehul Choksi challenging an application filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to declare him a fugitive economic.
