Chandigarh: In a shocking incident of carjacking reported from Punjab’s Dera Bassi near Chandigarh, two unidentified persons, on Thursday, stole with a man’s Tata Tiago car with his wife inside. The accused, later, dumped the woman on the highway and sped away.
How it happened
According to the police, Rajeev Chand, a private company employee, and his wife Ritu were at their children’s school for depositing their fees around 1 pm Thursday. Ritu chose to wait in the car while Rajeev, leaving the vehicle’s keys in the ignition, went inside the school to pay their children’s fees.
