The fear of less rainfall due to El Nino impact has been washed away. Pune is expected to continue experiencing good rainfall for the next three days, followed by a reduction in rainfall activity. An orange alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in ghat areas on July 23.
Within a few hours, Shivajinagar had reported 24.4 mm of rainfall leading to water-logging on several roads, and Pashan reported 46 mm of rainfall, the highest in the city.
