Several parents demonstrated outside the New Pune Public School in Akurdi on Monday, demanding the school management reduce
fees of the ongoing academic year.
Stating that some of the parents have lost their jobs during the coronavirus pandemic, they also cited that since the school is conducting only
online sessions, the management should consider the situation and reduce the fees.
The demonstration occurred after parents of children studying from primary to secondary classes at the school had gathered on its campus in Akurdi to conduct a meeting with the school management. However, they were told that the school principal was not present in the office and hence they submitted a letter signed by nearly 200 parents with their demands regarding the reduction of
