A Salina man was arrested in connection with drug offenses after a car he was driving was discovered to be stolen from Wichita.
Salina police said at 6:05 p.m. Saturday an officer was on patrol in the 1100 block of N. Ninth Street when they saw a 2014 sliver Kia Soul traveling south on Ninth. After running a search of the license plate, the officer discovered the car was reported stolen out of Wichita.
The car pulled into the Pump Mart at 1118 N. Ninth St. and the officer made contact with the driver, Arthur Strickland, 31, of Salina.
After a search of the vehicle, police discovered 1.35 pounds of methamphetamine, $3,855 in cash, and a Springfield 1911 .45-caliber handgun.
