As far as inventions go, the African American community has produced many items, foods and tools that remain in circulation to this day. While we continue to celebrate Black History Month, one Jacksonville man hopes to see his own invention become a part of history, while saving lives in the process.
Four years ago Ronnie Fulcher explained he had a nervous encounter with law enforcement when he was pulled over after dropping a friend off just before midnight in Jacksonville. The reason for the stop? Fulcher was told he was coming from a high crime area and could tell the officer who pulled him over was also nervous. With how dark it was on top of the explanation Fulcher said he was given, his nerves immediately shot up too.
