At 6 a.m. on Tuesday (April 13), a Foodpanda driver uploaded photos on the Facebook page Baofei Commune (爆廢公社) of amazing night vistas from Hehuanshan and wrote that he had ridden from Taipei to Puli Township in Nantou County before turning north again to reach Hehuanshan. He claimed that his customers were friends who work on the mountain.

Tainan Labor Affairs Bureau head Wang Hsin-chi (王鑫基) said the Doing Good Team took a job in Dounan Township, Yunlin County repairing a dilapidated house with a broken roof, CNA reported. The mother of a township resident surnamed Lin (林) was living in the house at the time, Wang added. The group started to repair the house on March 2 after receiving a referral from the Yunlin Labor Affairs Department, the bureau chief said. Local politicians yesterday called on top law enforcement officials and government agencies to crack down on crime, including illegal possession of firearms, after a string of violent incidents in several cities over the past few days.
Kaohsiung City Councilor Chen Juo-tsui (陳若翠) cited a number of criminal incidents involving firearms, including a car chase with police shooting the suspect to death near the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts on Wednesday last week.
