Puducherry: Amid the political turmoil in Puducherry, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to bring down a democratically elected government . The BJP is behind all these things. They are all out to bring down a democratically elected government. This is an attempt to bury democracy, ANI quoted the Puducherry CM as saying.

Puducherry:N Rangasamy, leader of the opposition in Puducherry, along with AIADMK floor leader A Anbazhagan and BJP floor leader V Saminathan handed over a petition signed by 14 MLAs to the lieutenant governor s office on Wednesday demanding a floor test in the assembly.
This move is expected to hurt the Congress-led government in the Union Territory as the Puducherry assembly currently has 28 MLAs, after the resignation of four Congress leaders, who can vote in a no-confidence motion. The collapse comes ahead of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s campaigning in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu in the run-up to the upcoming polls.
