Pud Kearns of Housewarmers of Greenville says the Greenville Farmers Market will host a NOLA (New Orleans, Louisiana) Fest from 11 a.m.-7p.m., Saturday, featuring Dixieland and other music from the Crescent City and south Louisiana. Food trucks and a custom-car show also are planned. The Farmers Market is located on east Lee Street in downtown Greenville. Pud also discusses the children s summer reading program at the W. Walworth Harrison Public Library and the resumption of regular senior citizens dances at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

Commerce ISD supintendent Charlie Alderman says the school board will create a steering committee to study calling bond election to finance the construction of a new Commerce Middle School. The current middle school was originally the Commerce High School building and was opened n 1968. The decision to have a bond election this fall must be made by mid-August. Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville says the Hunt County Fair will return Friday (April 23) and continue through Sunday, May 2. The fair was canceled last year because of the coronavirus. The fairgrounds on located on Jack Finney Boulevard (Farm Road 1570), near L-3-Harris. Also, Pud says Vinyl Radio, a tribute to the folk rock of the 1970s, will perform at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium Monday evening, April 26 as part of the Greenville Entertainment Series.
