City Manager Mark Miller told the DDA board that a draft request for qualifications for landscape design services to augment plantings MDOT has been planning for the interchange. DDA members would have to approve a DDA plan amendment in the future, which would allow them to use city funding for additional landscape services.

The Troy City Council unanimously approved an $875,000 redevelopment project that promises to transform the parking lot into a new, usable community green space. The parking lot, which currently sits vacant, dilapidated and closed to the public, has been in need of repair for the last five years, Department of Public Works Director Kurt Bovensiep told the City Council during their meeting Jan. 25.
