KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Two traders were charged in the Sessions Court here on Tuesday (April 27) with corruptly agreeing to accept RM30,000 as inducement to cover-up a corruption case that was still under investigation.
Fish monger Mohd Faizal Ahmad Mazlan, 42, and marinated chicken seller Abas Yaacob, 46, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge before judge Rozina Ayob.
They were charged with corruptly agreeing to accept RM30,000 from one Yuslie Mohd Yusop through Azhar Ariffin, as an inducement to close a case that was being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against Yuslie.
The offence was allegedly committed at a restaurant, Jalan Pudu Hulu here, at 9.32pm on Feb 3, 2017.
