(WVUE) - In the four months since the first vaccination against COVID-19 in Louisiana, over two million doses of the vaccines have been administered across the state, the Louisiana Department of Health reported Monday.

Louisiana Survey: One-third of adults donât want vaccine
Louisiana residents have mixed opinions on the governmentâs response to the coronavirus pandemic, and one-third of adults do not want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the second of five reports from the 2021 Louisiana Survey.
The survey, a project of the Manship Schoolâs Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs, is conducted annually by the Manship Schoolâs Public Policy Research Lab to measure and track public opinion of contemporary policy issues.Â
Findings from the second report include:
⢠Although only about one in eight Louisiana residents said they have tested positive for COVID-19. Nearly 80% of adults in the state say they personally know someone who tested positive and almost half (48%) say they personally know someone who has died from the disease.

Students are most likely to be attending school fully in-person in school districts where the coronavirus is spreading most rapidly, according to a nationally representative survey of American parents released this week by Education Next.
More than half of U.S. students were receiving instruction entirely remotely in November of this school year, while 28 percent of students receive in-person instruction. Of the 19 percent of students in hybrid models, in-person instruction varies from one to five days a week. District-school students are far more likely than private-school students to be taught through remote instruction.
