The mum of a man with long term mental health problems says she fears he will be lost in the system after the decision to scrap the community Supported Living Service (SLS) was announced.
The service is designed to help people with long-term mental health conditions or learning difficulties maintain independent lives and avoid them having to return to inpatient units.

Senior consultants at both the Royal Liverpool and Aintree Hospitals have written to their own directors demanding action to protect patients, the ECHO can reveal. The extraordinary letters, from the Gastroenterology (GI) and Hepatology departments of both hospitals, were obtained by the ECHO under Freedom of Information requests after sources raised concerns.

Weeks of disruption are expected in the city after workmen downed tools on at least five significant roadwork sites due to a dispute with Liverpool Council.
King Construction, now trading as VIAM, has pulled out of schemes around County Road and Walton Lane, Walton; Great Howard Street, Vauxhall; Kingsley Road, Toxteth; and Byrom Street, Liverpool City Centre.
On Friday the council sent letters to residents and business around County Road saying the works had been due to complete this month but have been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances .

A senior medic has been suspended after running a clinical trial using sensitive medical information without permission of his hospital.
Miguel Martin Garcia, a band 8 physiotherapist at Liverpool Women s Hospital, used patient consent forms headed with the trust s branding and carted off boxes of patient records to a private practice.
His decision to avoid the process of obtaining research approval, a process which would have taken three to four months, blew up in his face when he reported his own research data missing.
