(Peoria County Jail) PEORIA, Ill. –At approximately 11:57 a.m. on Sunday, Peoria Police responded to the 2000 block of W. Forestglen Drive regarding a report of a domestic violence situation. When officers arrived, firefighters were treating an unresponsive female inside of a residence. Officers found a man in the driveway who was taken into custody without incident. The man made initial comments to police identifying himself as the suspect in the incident. Hakob Sahakyan, 63, was taken to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes. Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the female victim suffered a serious head injury and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
