Appeal for public to stay at home and protect local communities

LMFM By Michael Carolan The Department of Public Health North East says more than 12,400 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the region so far this year. HSE Public Health North East, An Garda Síochána and Louth and Meath County Councils are urging the public to stay at home and protect their local communities. 11,764 COVID-19 cases were reported in the North East during 2020. Provisional figures indicate that 12,463 COVID-19 cases were reported in the region since the beginning of this year alone.  In the 14 days up to Saturday, there had been 950 new cases of COVID-19 in Louth and 985 cases in Meath.
