C before we say or do anything else today i want to pause to extend our thoughts and our prayers for the wellbeing of with scalise and our colleagues. Police and staff who were attacked by gunman this morning in virginia. Several members of this committee were there. This is a sad day for our country. We still dont have all the details but we do know that there are those who want to use acts of violence to create chaos , to disrupt our democracy. The American People will not let them when.
