Return times getting back to those who want to know if we did the same to you would you act the same way. The point is to say they are very good about telling us it is okay to wait and worth the wait but is it . They all have security clearance, they dont have to deal with this type of nonsense, they dont have to worry about the irs coming down hard on them. We do. They never seem to have to threat about much of anything. We wait, it is worth the wait. When it comes to healthcare it is worth trying a few hundred times before you can log onto a bureaucracys website. That is all part of the fun, part of the drama, part of what you have to do. Think about that. Think of the arrogance of that. Telling our vets that, you are waiting, enjoy the weight. There is a difference between a va secretary talking about waiting for care and you and me waiting on a ride, at disneyland or disney world. We are just there to help. Vets are there to survive. They are not having fun. The ones former army sn
Very inconvenient, especially for an older person or very sick person. And that is my comment. Back to that upshot column, that made the front page of the New York Times about the relationship between income inels in Life Expectancy this country, there is the map the goes along with that story. Theng that according to data published from the journal of the american medical association, trying to understand what this data might a simple thatbe wealth buys Higher Quality medical care which allows people to live into old age, but a long line of evidence including the new work suggests it is less obvious than it might seem. Less. Ercise more, smoke people who are healthy are better able to hold down a demanding job and still have higher income. A new paper finds little correlation between regions bending rates for the portion of the population with Health Insurance and how long its poor citizens live. You can see the traffic along with that, talking about the best and worst places for the
Cohens office as well and for the countless hours they spent in helping build a community coalition. I want to say supervisor wiener at the last hearing read off the pretty broad and amazing coalition thats been built. I want to make a point about that its about parent power. Not only San Francisco secondary pta, but there is a dozens ptas that individually passed resolutions in support and are hitting the ground with their children as well. Parents for public schools, the parent pack, the whole San Francisco board of education and the San Francisco unified School District. I see them here and thank them for being here and cham championing for healthy foods. The other point is that labor and Health Related organizations are in strong support. Not only the teachers united educators who have been in front for many months ant 21 and local 51 which has been amazing and the United Health workers an a number of other units that are strongly supportive of this effort. With that, back to mr. W
Advantage even when they qualify. You have the opportunity to provide 22,000 a day, but those 22,000 a day are not being used one hundred percent 100 percent of the time. They are being used how many percentage of the time . If there is 10 kids who qualify for the Lunch Program not all 10 kids are going to eat lunch every single day at a school. I was just wondering what your capacity for providing daily lunches, whats the percentage of kids that are taking full advantage of that on an average daily basis. How many kids are eating lunches on an average basis. Our enrollment is around 60,000. Sorry. We are having this conversation here. Of the 22,000 are those being eater. Those are being served, about 24,000 of those are elementary meals. Those are actually eaten everyday oovm but but you have the capacity to do even more. If this beverage tax passes and there is additional funding available you would actually use it inform are this program to provide additional meals or better meals .

Several years now the department of university of california and Health Initiative and in the last several years have made an attempt to educate the community in that particular area. I also belong to the tabernacle Development Corporation of all the churches in here concerned about these beverages issues. When i hear so much intelligence and statistics about the audience it helped me to commit more and more to put energy and time because it reflects especially in ethnic areas of groups of poverty and people for whatever reason dont have that quality of life to be educated and informed. I myself i walk four days 4 days a week and stopped drinking soda pop four 4 years ago, me and my family. It was proven that it was so detrimental. My last comment, what is so unjust, so unrighteous for the industry to add 2 percent per ounce to assist people with scene tifk information to show that its detrimental to our community. Thank you very much. Th
