+ May 22, 2021 ON THE heels of the expansion of venue capacity for religious gatherings in Metro Manila, a Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) official reminded the faithful to continue to adhere to public health protocols.
CBCP-Committee on Public Affairs Executive Secretary Fr. Jerome Secillano said it is imperative for the faithful to follow public health standards as the threat of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) remains. We remind people to continue observing health protocols as they enter churches, said Secillano. We do not want the risk of being exposed to the virus, he added.
On Friday, May 21, Malacañang announced that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has allowed Metro Manila mayors to expand the venue capacity for religious gatherings from 10 to 30 percent.
