LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Developer Housing Trust Group, with support of the City, is applying for a 9-percent state tax credit to re-purpose the Jim Kimmel Center into affordable housing.
It used to be the âIn Town Inn,â a hotel built in downtown Lubbock in 1964.
The new housing center, âInn Town Lofts,â will have 56 efficiency units with 1, 2 and 3-bedroom options offering reduced rent to qualified tenants.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The City of Lubbock is backing a developerâs request to get a tax break for repurposing the Jim Kimmel Center for affordable housing.
The center used to be known as the âIn Town Innâ at Main and Ave. K.
City council members unanimously supported a request for a nine percent state tax credit for the project. In doing so, council called the project the most contributing factor toward revitalizing downtown.
