The Supreme Court on Tuesday (April 23) commenced the hearing of the 9-judge constitution bench which is set to examine whether material resources of the community includes privately owned resources.

Tata Power plans to invest Rs 60,000 crore over the next three years, with nearly half allocated to the renewables sector. The company, avoiding new coal-based thermal power capacity, aims to invest Rs 15,000 crore in FY24, escalating to Rs 23,000 crore in FY27. The investment includes two hydel pumped storage projects (PSP) of 2,800 MW and identifies three more potential sites with a cumulative capacity of up to 9,000 MW.
