In an email sent to University of Colorado Boulder community members, Provost Russell Moore and Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rouke announced new plans for the summer term and the expectations they have for the fall.
“We anticipate offering the majority of courses in person, increasing access to our campus dining options, amenities and facilities, and increasing student social activities and on-campus events,” they said in the message.
Moore and O’Rouke said that they would be working closely with public health officials to determine what campus would look like the coming academic year, but gave no specific plans that would be implemented.
Luis Arballo-Rodriguez, a 30-year-old male resident of Grand Junction, has been identified as the individual who died in a car crash at the Colorado National Monument earlier this week.
The Mesa County Coronerâs Office said the cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of death is pending as well as toxicology. It did not appear that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of incident, the coronerâs office reports.
The National Park Service is overseeing the investigation.
The majority of Mesa County services will be closed on Monday Jan. 18 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
