For weeks the city has intensified their outreach efforts, adding that preliminary data shows eight out of the 17 people living in the park long-term have been moved into a shelter, a tiny house or hotel. The Ballard Little League said they have had several dangerous situations between people living in the camp, coaches and players on the field. “We had a conflict with a homeless individual at the field where he threatened the kids, threatened to kill the kids, which obviously terrified the kids,” said Steven Reich who is the president of the Ballard Little League. “Our coaches managed to defuse the situation.”
