Granville police disperse anti-mask advocates during Saturday event

Granville Police were called to two locations in the Village on Saturday. They dispersed small groups of anti-mask protestors who came to town with the stated intent to support two Granville area businesses that invite patrons to remove facial coverings within their shops.
A group identifying itself as “Moms Against DeWine” came to Granville to show support for Knucklehead’s Burgers and Ice Cream, 470 S. Main St., and for Prospect Street Smoothie, located at 134 N. Prospect St. in downtown Granville.
The group also announced on Facebook it would be demonstrating outside the Granville area home of a Gov. Mike DeWine-appointed state health official.
