The members of the Turner Senior class presented a drama in Leeds on Friday night, with fine success realizing nearly $60 for their part. They are to go to North Auburn in the near future for a performance at the Grange hall.
50 Years Ago: 1971
Although the weather was not ideal for a round-up, Patrolmen, Toby Tiner and Larry Laprise of the Auburn Police Department had themselves one early this morning in a rural section of the City. At 1:17 am., Officer Tiner, while on cruiser duty on South Main Street, near the Prospect Hill Golf Course (that’s what there beneath the snow) notified headquarters that six ponies were roaming aimlessly in the roadway. Officer Laprise was dispatched to the scene and through the combined efforts of Tiner and Laprise they were able to get the ponies back to their homes.
