A BOOZE thief “couldn’t remember” stealing whiskey from Morrisons, Swindon Crown Court heard. But John Camac was given a 12 month conditional discharge after a judge heard he had a number of health issues and the alcohol was of relatively low value. Prosecutor Mark Ashley told the court Camac had gone into the Swindon Morrisons store on November 2 last year. A security guard stopped him from leaving the store as they thought he had stolen bottles of spirits. Mr Ashley said: “He was approached and indeed bottles of spirits were found in his coat. This was all caught on closed circuit television.
