Founder and overseer of the Living Word Evangelical Church (LIWEC) Prophet David Mbewe today paid a surprise visit to Limbe Central Market where he distributed food and facemasks to street connected children, beggars and minibus touts.
No sooner than Mbewe had arrived at the market than large queues formed as street connected children, beggars and minibus touts lurched to receive the delicious hotel-prepared meal and facemasks.

The Prophet said in a telephone interview after the donation that the initiative is aimed at cushioning street children and minibus callboys from the devastating effects of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Founder and overseer of Living Word Evangelical Church (LIWEC) Prophet David Mbewe has taken his time off the pulpit to record his fourth album.
Prophet Mbewe’s first album was Rhythms Healing after which he dropped Rhythms of Praise followed by Rhythms of Joy.
Titled
Rhythms of Shalom, the album is a compilation of praise and worship tracks.
Speaking in an interview with Nyasa Times, Prophet Mbewe said the album seeks to draw people closer to God as they pray and worship.
“This is a six-track album. I am recording it at my home studio. In the past, I used to record with late Joseph Tembo,” he said.

Mbewe made the remarks at Zion Batah Mission Headquarters in Ntcheu where he attended special prayers the church organized to celebrate their faith.
The Prophet attended the prayers at the invitation of the church in his capacity as president of the Freedom of Worship Association of Malawi (FOWAM).
