That Englishman, Simon Slee, brokered deals to put nearly 100 Syracuse homes into the hands of more than 60 overseas owners during the peak of the U.S. housing market crash. Slee left little trace of his operation on paper, since he mostly served as a go-between for Syracuse sellers and international buyers. Most of the properties he sold have since gone to other owners. Slee died in 2015.
