welcome back, everybody. it looks like the tom cruise/katie holmes divorce is taking a decidedly more civilized turn. good thing for the little girl. lawyers for the stars are reportedly in behind the scenes settlement talks. as abc s tanya rivero reports, it is all an attempt to keep this case out of court. reporter: katie holmes spent most of the day with her lawyers in new york but it seems for now tomkat is putting away the claws. l.a. family lawyer, steve mindell, has this take on the celebrity split. it is clear there is a fragile tentative truce entered into by the parties. if they wanted to go to war, they d be at war already. reporter: tmz reports, holmes and tom cruises lawyers have started negotiating everything, custody of suri, visitation rights, child support and property settlement.
