In two separate incidents reported from Fortis Hospital and Manipal Hospital on Bannerghatta Road and Old Madras Road, the medical staff was allegedly abused by the patient’s kin. At Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, a doctor and a nursing staff on duty on June 11 were allegedly assaulted by the patients’ kin a woman and her son. The three persons attacked the duty doctor and brandished a dagger to threaten him. The Kodigehalli police have booked Masood and two others who are yet to be identified by the cops for criminal assault and intimidation along with sections under the Karnataka Prohibition of Violence Against Medicare Service Personnel and Damage to Property in Medicare Service Institutions Act, and also under The Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Ordinance.
