Harry Sykes died aged 16 while on a rugby trip to France with Halifax Elite Rugby Academy A PRE-inquest review has taken place in relation to the death of Bradford rugby-playing teenager Harry Sykes in 2018. Harry, 16, died while on a trip to Carcassonne in southern France with Halifax Elite Rugby Academy (now Halifax Panthers Rugby Academy) in September 2018. The former Queensbury ARLFC player, from Clayton Heights, was reported missing while on a trip and his body was recovered from a lake by police. During the review at Bradford Coroners Court, Senior Coroner Martin Fleming was asked to add the Rugby Football League, Halifax Elite Rugby Academy, Loughborough College and the Association of Colleges to the Properly Interested Persons list.
